Live Shows Title

In the beginning...

The entity that was to become S22 was formed in late 1996 by Mark Hume, Ged Durkin, Scott McCormick & Lucas Wooller.

Hume & Durkin's previous band had disbanded on government security orders and when Hume moved into Halls of Residence at Newcastle University, the hands of fate brought him and Durkin together with future messiah Scott McCormick and keyboardist extraordinaire Lucas Wooller.

Needing a guitarist, Durkin's friend *idiot boy* Lee came along and played the initial gigs at Zoo Bar, Idols (Whitley Bay) and the Newcastle Arts Centre. Soon they had a reportoire of seventies theme tunes and played to audiences who actually liked it. They called themselves "Bozo".

However, Lee was to be dethroned by *village idiot* Ryan, who had been playing in a stupid fake oasis band in Whitley Bay, and there started a love affair which was never to end...

Then God smiled... Almost as soon as England had qualified for the World Cup, major changes set into the band and they adopted the name S22 - meaning "do not breathe in dust"

. With new drummer Matthew, and the superlative Toby on decks/samples, the band had laid rest to the olden days with a new set comprising music which really meant something for once. The rest, as they say, is history. Which is what this page is meant to be about, but I can't be arsed to do anymore.

hmm...strange eye - Arrow Eye Girl - tremendous stuff, any season of the year and that.
